Phil "The Voice" Smith
I'm Phil Smith, rhythm guitarist and lead singer of The Unsound. I studied Creative Music Technology at university and have played guitar since I was about 12, I've been in several bands over the years but the unsound is easily the most fun! I am influenced by anything with a cool rhythm and some heavy guitars! My idol would have to be slash! He got into my head at the age of about 13 and has been in there ever since! Haven't quite grown the long black curly hair yet though.
Lee "Solo" Wright
I'm Lee im 18 years old and i play Lead Guitar. I have been playing guitar for around 5 years, I also play a few other instruments such as Bass and also Ukulele I am currently in the band The Unsound but have been in a few bands in the local area previous to this, I am currently studying at Access To Music in Darlington and I am on my way to becoming a studio engineer. Artists that have inspired me are the likes of, Slash (Guns N Roses, Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver) Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Jimi Hendrix (The Jimi Hendrix Experience), Sid Glover (Heaven's Basement) and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin).
Tom "Stixx" Bussey
I'm Tom Bussey, Music and Math Student of Carmel, and Drummer and backing vocalist of The Unsound. I am the youngest member of the group, but have just as much passion for the group as the others.
I have been playing drums for 7 years now and is only one of many instruments I can play, including Guitar, Bass, Keys and vocals.
Some of the artists who has inspired me are John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Chris Rivers (Heavens Basement). But the one musician who stands out the most to me is Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures)... This guy is the reason I play music! From the pounding sound of Nirvana, to the Melodic sound of Foo Fighters... this guy has it all!

Scott "Bassmasta" Wilson
I'm Scott Wilson, I'm 19 years old and I play Bass Guitar for The Unsound. I've been playing bass for around 4 years. Bass is my main instrument but I also enjoy playing Guitar and Piano in my spare time. Along with Lee, I am currently a student on the Access to Music Apprenticeship based in Darlington. My two main musical inspirations are Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) and Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Blackfield, Storm Corrosion). Steven Wilson was one of the first artists that introduced me to progressive rock bands such as Porcupine Tree, Opeth and Dream Theater. While Mark Knopfler is an artist from the North-east area that has become a house-hold name, I take inspiration from his success.
